•Avoid high-traffic pet areas (like parks) until your pet has completed their vaccine series.

•Limit interaction with unfamiliar pets until they’re fully vaccinated.

•Clean and disinfect pet areas, toys, and surfaces regularly.

•Avoid bringing in items that may have been exposed to other animals in high-risk areas.

•Wash hands and sanitize shoes and clothes if you’ve been around other animals.

The virus thrives in various environments, including soil, grass, and on contaminated objects. It can survive on surfaces for long periods, even in extreme weather, making it essential to be vigilant.
